Author Wendy Johnson founded Touch of Grey Rescue in 2019 after volunteering at her local shelter and seeing firsthand how many senior dogs were homeless and learning of the grim statistics of older dogs being adopted from shelters. Touch of Grey's mission is to provide foster, rehoming and hospice care to seniors and special needs dogs residing in shelters or who have been left behind by their owners. On average Touch of Grey rescues 100+ dogs a year.
A portion of the proceeds from every book sold from the Farkle and Friends series is donated to Touch of Grey Rescue, a Florida 501C3 non profit, to help with the medical expenses and care of their senior and special needs dogs.
